I wonder … how many years of practice will it take to get my output to sound that good? I’m still stuck at 85-115 bpm for simple rock beats and 70-135 bpm for 3+3+2 exercises, stomping on the ground and drumming on my thighs since I don’t have the space for a drum kit. Well, I work with what is available at the moment. Watching videos of drummers keeps me motivated and telling myself: Don’t get discouraged by someone better than you! And even more important, don’t be afraid to look stupid while learning and making an effort to get to the next level. Every beginner is slow and stumbles. ∎
