I am not a saint. I trip up and I make mistakes. So, I don´t actually deserve to use a pretentious label like this. It is true, that I am striving for a more plant based diet, but I´m still cheating here and there. Yes, I am incorporating more fruits, veggies and plant products into my daily meals. Yes, replacing milk and butter with alternatives is not a big deal for me anymore. And eating less meat is getting easier: At some point, I didn´t enjoy the taste of it as much and was even a bit grossed out by handling raw meat. But I am still craving a bite of cheese or eating some fish from time to time or sweetening my tea with honey. Which is a no- no.
The conclusion: I am not vegan, but I am on this transformative journey to eat more plants. Still curious about trying out new vegan products and recipes. How about motivating myself by writing a list of people, that I adore for their work and … for being a leading example in regard to a vegan lifestyle?
