Below is just a short overview of tools and sources, that I currently use to check out trends in the financial market and some background information about BTC. Including links to charts for my weekly technical analysis.

001 OVERALL SENTIMENT AND TREND

First, I take a quick glance at the ›Fear and Greed Index‹ on coinmarketcap.com and check the sentiment of the market. Are we in the green or the red?

For a general overview regarding crypto hypes, I check the ›Funding Rate Heatmap‹ on coinglass.com – with Bitcoin in the first line of the map.

Who got wrecked? A short overview for the crypto marketplace and the latest drama can be observed on the ››Liquidations Heatmap‹ at coinglass.com.

By using ›Google Trends‹ I can screen how often words like bitcoin and crypto have been searched in the last 90 days – as an indicator for trends and overall interest.

All the shitcoins and latest stupid projects are floating around in the space of ›Crypto Bubbles‹. As a summary of crypto that need to be ignored and avoided.

002 VOLUME AND TIME ZONES

To get more clear on the activity on crypto exchanges and the volume in circulation, I use this ›Daily Exchange Volume‹ chart on theblock.co

I can even see in which the trading session people are most active, by checking the ›Binance BTCUSDT Volume During Different Trading Sessions‹.

003 ETF AND MARKETMAKERS

Since ETFs have an increasing influence on the Bitcoin trends, I go to the following pages to check if institutional traders are more leaning towards selling or buying. Sometimes even those are erratic and all over the place. In- and outflow in numbers with visuals ›Total Bitcoin Spot ETF Net Inflow‹ on coinglass.com, the ›Cryptocurrency ETF Tracker‹ on coinmarketcap.com and ›ETF Assets‹ on sosovalue.com

004 LONGTERM PRICE RANGE FOR BTC

For a more long-term overview, it’s best to watch the price in relation to average bands on charts like the ›Bitcoin: Price Temperature‹ on glassnode.com or the ›Bitcoin Investor Tool: 2-Year MA Multiplier‹ at bitcoinmagazinepro. Those are essential tools for lump-sum investors like me. With the graph on ›Bitcoin Realized Profit‹ at newhedge.io I can get a sense of when others thought the price of BTC was good enough to make the decision to sell.

005 PRICE ACTION – AT THE MOMENT

For observations of the BTC price – on a more shortterm, daily basis – coinglass.com is a neat source with these three tools: ›Liquidation Heatmap‹ or the ›Hyperliquid Whale Tracker‹ and the ›BTC Whale Orders & Large Trades‹.

006 GLOBAL M2 AND INTEREST RATES

To get more data about the context in which Bitcoin operates, it usefull to look at the chart of broad liquidity on ›Global M2 versus Bitcoin‹ provided by bitcoincounterflow.com or the chart of ›Bitcoin and M2 Growth‹ at charts.bgeometrics.com.

In addition, for an overall trend the ›Interest Rates in the US‹ are still relevant – as long as the dollar will continue to stay the leading fiat currency.

007 MARKET CAP OF GLOBAL ASSETS

It’s always interesting to observe what people all over the globe consider a valuable asset besides gold and silver on the ›Bitcoin and Global Listed Companies Rankings‹

@CryptoFace – is trading live on youtube | It’s always fun to observe a bitcoin whale in his natural habitat. Trades and news about the market sprinkled with metal music, dirty jokes and a lot of cursing. Just makes me laugh every time.

@JoeNakamoto | Is testing the application and use of Bitcoin in the physical world.

@exitmanual | Explaining money and economic systems in simle entertaining ways.

@blocktrainer | Roman Reher is on a mission to raise awareness for BTC and the technology behind it among the german people. Which includes educating policitians.

@LynAldenContact | Is pushing for innovation with her book ›Broken Money‹ 

@_whitneywebb | Has a finetuned sense about developments around BTC.

The Bitcoin price charts on exchanges

Charts and prices on spot trading for the BTC/EUR pairing … since this is my current focus. Do I use any of these exchanges? Not yet. Therefore, I can’t provide any recommendations or more details. Scribbling trendline into the charts and adding rays is kind of fun. | Bitget | Kraken
